We live in a visual world.
.
That is why it’s very hard for people to see (=UNDERSTAND) what can’t be seen right away by their eyes. Literally.
.
(Plus the things we don’t want to see — because of greed, for example)
.
You wouldn’t neglect your broken arm, because you can physically see it right away.
.
But many people are neglecting their broken hearts and other “inside things”, just because they can’t see them physically right away.
.
This is wrong. As only because you don’t see the air, it doesn’t mean you don’t need it.
.
Just because you don’t see what’s holding you back, doesn’t mean it’s not there.
.
Everyone should have their own coach, therapist or psychologist to support them in their life’s. You, and thus the whole world, would incredibly benefit from that.
.
Back to the story: If you buy a cheap shirt, you literally don’t see the 13 years old kid Ahnaf, who produces it in inhumane conditions on a 15 hour shift somewhere in Bangladesh.
.
People (businessmen & politicans) who let exploit the ocean for a larger oil production and thus more money,
.
LITERALLY don’t see (=understand) the consequences it has on the species living (dying) in it and consequently, on their own family and children.
.
And even if they would see it — their conscious mind probably would SUPPRESS that knowledge.
.
They wouldn’t want to see it, because they’d know they are doing it for the wrong reasons
.
and would have to face their fear that they’re not as good person, as they think of themselves when they look in the mirror.
.
You can only hardly change THEM. But you can change yourself.
.
Anytime you have an opportunity to get something at the expense of someone else — reconsider.
