In these unprecedented times it is important that every one of us, including you and me, open ourselves in an accepting way to whatever is happening in the world.
.
Yes, our world is going through a new turbulence that raises fear among many of us. It is natural. Fear is nothing else but a worry about unknown. We don’t know what’s gonna happen tomorrow and thus we naturally fear it.
.
However, change is the only certainty we have in life. Nothing is “stable”, however stable it might seem — planet Earth, though it looks constant to us, is constantly changing; our lives, however certain we take them, are once gonna reach their ends.
.
And that’s alright — that’s the only certainty — change. If change didn’t exist, the universe, time and your life couldn’t exist, as nothing would be moving, so nothing would be.
.
The virus is just a reminder to us of how precious the things we take as given, are. Our lives. Our families. Our friends. The possibility to go to a restaurant, cinema, to travel… To simply take a walk in the nature and listen to birds sing.
.
With the precautions countries are taking we finally get to see the value in these MOST important things. Most of them are free and everpresent, so we don’t value them as much as we should.
.
What I’m trying to say is:
.
Enjoy your day. Are you locked at home? That’s fine, enjoy being alive! Enjoy the silence! Read more (books)! Do the thing you always wanted to do but there was no time to do it!
.
Look the people you’re with in the eyes, listen, truly, to what they are saying, just be there in the moment.
.
You never know when it’s gonna be your last.
.
And finally, trust the precautions your countries are taking — politicians are advised by many experienced and educated health advisors and epidemiologists and if people who devote their lives to study what to do when a pandemic hits are telling you to stay at home, avoid social contact and wash your hands after touching metals or plastics in public spaces, listen to them.
.
Avoid judgement — accept and adapt
.
PS. Don’t worry. It won’t be like this forever. Yes, it may take weeks or months but eventually, things will get back to normal. For now, enjoy what is 🌱
